SUSTAINABLE : Chardonnay
MED-BODIED, CRISP GREEN APPLE, LEMON ZEST, BRIOCHE, FINE MOUSSE, NEUTRAL OAK
Whitecliff Vineyard has been farming the Hudson River Region since 1979—one of the earliest estates in New York to establish Vitis vinifera—and the winery Michael Migliore and Yancey Stanforth-Migliore built from those plantings is now one of the most recognized in the Hudson Valley. Winemaker Brad Martz joined on the 2010 harvest and has spent fifteen years shaping Whitecliff's sparkling program into something worth taking seriously.
The Blanc de Blanc is 100% estate Chardonnay made by Traditional Method: second fermentation in the bottle, extended lees aging, then disgorgement. The same process as Champagne, applied to Hudson Valley fruit. The result is dry and medium-bodied, with the autolytic character that lees contact builds—brioche, fresh bread, and green apple—finished by a clean, fine mousse and a hint of oak.
Whitecliff's sparkling program earned 92 points from Wine Enthusiast for the North River Methode Champenoise Cuvee. The Blanc de Blanc is the varietal expression of that same commitment: estate fruit, bottle-fermented, grown on the Shawangunk Ridge foothills.

| Oysters on the half shell | effervescence and acidity cut through brine cleanly |
