Woodford Reserve sits at an 1812 distillery site along Glenn’s Creek in Woodford County — a National Historic Landmark and one of the oldest active distilleries in Kentucky, where limestone-filtered spring water and a proprietary yeast strain have anchored the flavor profile since the modern brand launched in 1996.

The whiskey is a blend of pot-still distillate from the Versailles campus and column-still spirit from Brown-Forman’s Shively facility, married in new charred white oak from the distillery’s own cooperage. The 5-to-7-day fermentation — long by industry standards — builds complexity before the barrel program begins. Double Gold at the 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
