The 2024 Batch Proof leans into oak and dark cherry in a way the lower-proof 2022 vintage didn't — Drinkhacker flagged "heavy barrel influence" and torched citrus on the nose, then cherry and cloves on the palate. Whisky Advocate scored it 92 points, their highest rating for the series in recent years, with notes of cherry cola, Gala apple, and spiced cinnamon coffee cake. The finish is the standout: three reviewers independently called it one of the longest they'd encountered, and they're right. Same 72/18/10 mash and triple copper pot still distillation as the standard Woodford — bottled at 121.2 proof, nothing added. A splash of water draws out the butterscotch and softens the oak.
