Yann Bertrand Beaujolais Village ‘Lantignié’ 2025 750ml
FRANCE : BEAUJOLAIS : LANTIGNIÉ
ORGANIC : Gamay
LIGHT-BODIED, CHERRY, RASPBERRY, VIOLET, SAVORY EARTH, NEUTRAL OAK
Yann Bertrand grew up in Fleurie, the son of vignerons, and learned the no-additions school of Beaujolais from Jean Foillard and Yvon Métras before taking over his share of the family vines — the third generation of a Beaujolais wine family.
Lantignié is his Beaujolais-Villages: one hectare of young Gamay in the Bastys sector, on deep granite at about 500 meters, farmed organically with biodynamic practices.
Strict carbonic maceration, then about eight months in old 225-liter barrels, with native yeast and no fining, filtering or added sulfur. Fresh cherry, red berries and violet on a slender, savory frame with fine tannins — Gamay from altitude, built for the table. Give it a light chill.
PAIRINGS :
| Roast chicken | red fruit and acidity keep up with crisp skin and pan juices |
| Country pâté with cornichons | slender tannins and lift cut the fat |
| Grilled Toulouse sausage with lentils | savory Gamay for a bistro plate |
