FULL-BODIED, DRIED CHERRY, LATE-SUMMER ROSE, MINERAL, NEUTRAL OAK
A blend of younger vines drawn from across the Brovia crus — Brea and Gianetto in Serralunga d'Alba, with contributions from Rocche di Castiglione, Villero, and Garblèt Sue in Castiglione Falletto — combining the aromatic lift of one commune with the structure and mineral intensity of the other.
Spontaneous fermentation in cement, open-top wood, and stainless steel; a minimum of two years in large Slavonian and French oak barrels; no fining, no filtration. The wine doesn't see market until at least 40 months after harvest.
The 2020 vintage produced Barolos with unusually fine-grained tannins and an open, generous character — approachable earlier than most recent vintages while carrying the structural bones for another 15 years of evolution.
