Galil Mountain 'Aviv' Rosé 2024 750ml
ISRAEL : UPPER GALILEE
ORGANIC : Sangiovese, Pinot Noir, Barbera, Grenache
LIGHT-BODIED, STRAWBERRY, WATERMELON, FLORAL, MINERAL, NO OAK
Galil Mountain was founded in 2000 in the eastern Upper Galilee as a joint venture between Kibbutz Yiron and the Golan Heights Winery. Six estate vineyards at 420–800 meters on soils of limestone, terra rossa, flint, and basalt — the elevation and soil diversity produce wines with natural acidity and aromatic lift that distinguish the region from lower-altitude Israeli producers. The winery was the first in Israel to earn LODI RULES sustainable certification.
The Aviv is the winery’s entry rosé: a saignée blend, cold-fermented in stainless steel. Light, dry, and built for the table. Kosher for Passover, non-mevushal.
PAIRINGS :
| Mezze platter | the regional food match — hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, warm flatbread |
| Grilled chicken with herbs | the acidity and fresh fruit handle the protein without competing |
| Chilled watermelon and feta | the wine’s minerality works with the salty cheese; Sangiovese-forward fruit mirrors the melon |
