The lovely and unique 'Fregellae’ (named after the most important Roman colony in southern Lazio) is a low-intervention, skin-contact wine made from a blend of three extremely rare grapes native to the area. Rich, round, and textured, with tart stone fruit, bright acid, and stony minerality…this is easy-drinking elegance, and natural winemaking at its finest.
WINEMAKING : Low-intervention/natural : 3 weeks maceration & 21 days fermentation via native yeasts in concrete; aged for 12 months in concrete +15 months in acacia barrel + one year in bottle; unfiltered/unfiltered; no added S02. Vegan.
FARMING : Certified Organic & Biodynamic; grapes are sourced from young vines in newly planted hillside vineyards surrounding the ancient town of Arce
