DOCE TRECENAS MEZCAL is founded by women in partnership with a women-led & family-run distillery in the heart of Oaxaca. Doce is artisanally produced from Espadín Capón agaves that have reached peak maturity stage, giving it the maximum amount of flavor. The Capon agaves are then double distilled in copper stills and roasted with the minimum amount of pine & oak wood to allow for a barely-there smoky finish.
Doce Trecenas Mezcal is made at 46% ABV and can be described as an earthy, exhilarating, and full-bodied mezcal with a refined, velvet finish.

Denis and Anne Velut's tiny 7.7 hectare farm is located in Montgueux, a commune famous for its unique terroir – specifically the high concentration of silex found in it's ancient chalk soils, a geographical anomaly which lends cutting minerality and smoky gunflint tones to its wines.
FARMING : Organic. No chemical fertilizers used; 100% pinot noir from vines planted in 1968.
WINEMAKING : Fermented in tank; 50% saignée / 50% carbonic maceration; aged 3 years sur latte.

The soft and elegant ‘‘En Brescul’ is shining beautifully now, but will keep until 2026.
